Addressing COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy Webinar

The world is still struggling to fight the worst pandemic since the Spanish Flu in the early 20th century. Approved vaccines are available, and distribution has begun, but many, including health care professionals are hesitant to take the vaccine. Now is the time for us to show respect and compassion to those that are vaccine hesitant, to learn and understand their fears, and find ways to better communicate the benefits of vaccination.
Objectives:
- The participant will demonstrate the need to listen to patients’ fears and concerns before educating them on vaccination.
- The participant will recite an explanation of the COVID-19 vaccination mechanism in a way that is easily understood by patients.
- The participant will practice using Motivational Interviewing skills to help patients think about the benefits of vaccination.
