Supporting Recovery After Stroke: Strategies for Optimizing Client Function and Adjustment

Case Managers and other Patient Advocates are charged with coordinating the care of patient clients who have suffered the devastating effect of brain injury due to various forms of Stroke. This presentation is aimed at enhancing the knowledge base of clinicians to aid the recovery curve of clients and to optimize the function and quality of life of clients along the care continuum.

  • Michael Newell MSN RN CCM, President, LifeSpan Care Management LLC
We have also invited Ms. Kyle Ruffin, Author of a wonderful memoir: "In Stroke's Shadow, My Caregiver Story" She will provide some insights as to her journey from the "Care Givers" perspective. As we know, an illness affects the patient and all the loved ones around them!
